The Blues have already completed the signings of Hakim Ziyech and Timo Werner and now are eyeing more big deals, while a number of players have been put up for sale.
Good evening, Chelsea fans. Manchester United are reportedly ready to hijack TWO of the club’s summer transfers.
The Mirror claim that the Red Devils have their eye on Leicester’s Ben Chilwell and Bayer Leverkusen’s Kai Havertz.
The Blues have been handed a massive boost in their attempts to sign the latter, though, with Bayer Leverkusen chief Fernando Carro revealing that Havertz has expressed a desire to leave the Bundesliga club.
Meanwhile, Inter Milan are reportedly plotting an audacious swoop for Chelsea midfielder N’Golo Kante.
Gazzetta Italia claim the Serie A giants are confident they can land the midfielder with ex-Blues boss Antonio Conte eager to reunite with Kante.
Bayer Leverkusen CEO Fernando Carro has confirmed that Chelsea target Kai Havertz has expressed a desire to leave the Bundesliga club.
Havertz, 21, has been heavily linked with a move to Stamford Bridge, with Leverkusen reportedly demanding at least £90m for the highly-rated Germany international.
“It was always clear that there would be talks as soon as the Europa League ended for us,” he told Kolner Stadt-Anzeiger.
“Kai has expressed a wish to take the next step. Whether this will work in the near future or not, I can’t say at the moment.”
He did not mention whether Chelsea or Manchester United were potential frontrunners, but added: “There are several clubs who want to include Kai Havertz in their future plans.”
